June 15, 2009 >> RTSP Proxy Software

Our WMS developers have completed the alpha version of the RTSP proxy for Microsoft Windows. RTSP proxy can be used to re-stream media content and hide the IP of the source media server. Also it is possible to alter some RTSP headers to change the stream properties. The RTSP proxy will be released as Voynex software product in the near future.

March 10, 2009 >> Media Guard Changelog

From now on it is possible to track all new releases of the Voynex Media Guard using the changelog. It contains information on new features, code modifications, bug fixes, security vulnerabilities patches for each new release. Changelog is available online and updated as soon as the new version released.
So now all potential and existent customers can review how the product is being developed and improved. All the major updates of Voynex Media Guard are will be posted to the news section as before.

April 22, 2008 >> WMS 9.5 for Windows 2008 is now a separate download

Windows Media Services version 9.5 also known as Windows Media Services 2008 are not included to Windows Server 2008 by default. The following are not included:

The Streaming Media Services role. This role includes the latest version of Microsoft Windows Media Services, Windows Media Services 2008.
Streaming Media Services role administration tools for the Remote Server Administration Tools feature in Server Manager

March 3, 2008 >> Voynex Media Guard for Windows 2000 is taken out of production

Voynex software development team decided to stop further development of the Media Guard for Windows 2000. Microsoft Windows 2000 Serrver family almost not used nowadays so there is no reason to add new features to the corresponding product. Voynex will continue to support of the Media Guard for Windows 2000 by the end of this year.
Voynex will continue further development and support of the Media Guard 2003 which is designed to run for Windows 2003 Server Enterprise Edition.

January 27, 2006 >> USA removed the status of intellectual rights violator from Ukraine

On January the 23rd, 2006 the USA removed the status of primary violator of intellectual property rights from Ukraine. US Trade Representative Robert Portman announced that Ukraine now is equaled to a supervised country and its privileges in regard to the goods exported from Ukraine to the USA have been restored.
In 2001 the USA started trade war against Ukraine which was named a country with the most developed piracy over the whole Europe. The country produced great amount of illegal CD and DVD discs, and the USA called Ukraine for taking measures to settle the problem.
In July 2005 Ukraine accepted changes in the legislation that strengthen the licensing regulations aimed at counteraction to illegal manufacture and sale of compact discs. The USA positively estimate this progress and are going to help Ukraine in the future.
The improvements in the sphere of intellectual property rights protection are surely a good sign for Ukraine. This will positively influence the investment climate in the country, raise its prospects of economic development and bring Ukraine closer to WTO.

July 11, 2005 >> Ukraine announced visa free regime for US citizens and prolonged it for EU and Switzerland

Starting 1st July 2005 Ukraine sets visa free regime for U.S. citizens. The Decree “On the Establishment of Visa-Free Regime for Citizens of the United States of America” establishes visa-free regime of entry to Ukraine and transit through it territory for U.S. passport holders.
President Viktor Yushchenko signed an order on June 30 saying Americans who visit Ukraine for the second time and whose previous visit was no longer than six months ago, are not longer required to obtain a new visa and can stay in Ukraine up to 90 days.
Yushchenko's office commented that this decision was aimed at "the development and practical realization of the principal of strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States."
In the meanwhile, Ukraine decided to prolong the visa free regime for citizens of EU countries and Switzerland without time limit. According to the Decree “On temporary implementation of the visa-free entrance regime for the EU and Swiss citizens” signed on 31st March 2005, the EU and Swiss passport holders could enter Ukraine without visas for the period up to 90 days starting the 1st May 2005 till the 1st September 2005. Now this regime is prolonged for indefinite periods.

September 20, 2004 >> Media Guard for Windows 2000 and 2003 new release

New versions of Media Guard for for WMS 4 and for WMS 9 are released. This software makes possible to charge site clients for viewing video streams (ASX and WMV formats). Pay-per-minute (PPM), pay-per-view (PPV) and other billing schemes can be used. New version of the Voynex Media Guard plug-ins is more scalable and customizable. Almost unlimited numbers of users can be handled simultaneously. Microsoft Windows NT4/2000/2003 Servers are supported.

The Quality Assurance process at our QA Department has been modified. New 3 level testing model and according software is used.
For respective Quality Assurance (QA) we employ various methodologies and strategies, conduct formal technical reviews, and build software testing plans for each project. We also use automated tools for conducting QA activities. Our testing mechanisms include formal technical reviews, testing strategies and techniques, procedures for change control, procedures for assuring compliance to standards, and measurements and reporting mechanisms.

Voynex proudly presents our new internet site. For a long time we had hatched ideas of how it should look and feel. And so redesign is complete. Now we have just a charming web site, have not we? ;-)
